Rapid touch typing is great for old school (1950s) transcription of hand written notes or whatever it was that secretaries did at typewriters. When mad typing one's thoughts just skims off of stream of consciousness and then THAT requires editing and THAT requires time and thought and yeah. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
